The “Jimmy Lee Scholars Fund” is an endowment established in memory of longtime Inner-City trustee and supporter, James “Jimmy” B, Lee, Jr. Through the generosity of JPMorgan Chase & Co. and family and friends, this fund provides scholarships for low-income students attending Catholic high schools within the Archdiocese of New York.
The need-based scholarships are awarded to students who meet the program’s criteria and have been vetted by the Fund’s committee of volunteers. In order to be eligible, students must participate in a school sponsored athletic or extracurricular program and demonstrate a cumulative grade point average of 85 percent or above. Beyond financial support, the Jimmy Lee Scholars attend panels on different topics such as healthcare, entrepreneurship, and banking.
